 Progressive San Diego Helps Found Empower San Diego < back 
 
To address the great need in San Diego for a broad-based grassroots organizing force to foster civic engagement and connect people to the local democratic process, members of Progressive San Diego have founded a 501(c)3 nonprofit, sister organization. The new organization has been named EMPOWER San Diego.

EMPOWER is an independent, nonprofit focused on educating the public about local policy and decision-making and creating venues that foster public dialogue, community input and civic participation.

Since its founding in 2008, EMPOWER has already had many accomplishments, including the hiring of two new staff people, the launching of EMPOWERStudents! and the co-hosting of several successful events.

Now, EMPOWER is embarking on its first-ever membership drive. As Progressive San Diego’s sister organization, we hope you will consider becoming a Charter Member of EMPOWER San Diego. Click here to join EMPOWER San Diego!
